Prayer Shawl Ministry

This winter season of 2025 the Prayer Shawl Ministry has expanded our outlook to include items such as winter hats, scarves and items suitable for the Christmas Child shoe boxes. Hats and scarves were added to the winter clothing box and mitten tree to be distributed to participants of Heaven’s Kitchen this winter. Crocheted “Frisbees” were made for church members to add to their shoe box contributions. Of course, shawls and lap-robes are continually being produced year-round.

If you would be interested in joining the group, but do not know how to knit or crochet, we can teach you. And we have materials and tools to help you get started. We are always open to contributions – yarn, funds or other usable stuff.

We typically meet twice a month. The days may vary due to members availability, but we always meet at a local restaurant for lunch at noon and then reconvene at the church until 3:00pm to work our crafts. Please check the calendar of events on this site for our next meeting date and lunch location.
