This winter, the Prayer Shawl Ministry is joyfully expanding our mission of compassion and connection. In addition to creating shawls and lap robes throughout the year, we are now crafting winter hats, scarves, and special items for Christmas Child shoeboxes. These gifts are shared through our winter clothing box, mitten tree, and Heaven’s Kitchen ministry—helping bring warmth, dignity, and hope to our neighbors who face food insecurity and other challenges.

Every stitch we make is an expression of God’s love, woven into relationships within our congregation and throughout our community. Whether you are knitting a shawl for comfort, crocheting a “frisbee” for a child’s shoebox, or preparing winter wear for someone in need, you are helping us live out our calling to serve.
We warmly invite you to join us. No experience is necessary—if you’ve never knitted or crocheted before, we would love to teach you. We provide materials, tools, encouragement, and plenty of fellowship along the way. We also gratefully welcome donations of yarn, funds, or other helpful supplies.
Our group typically meets twice a month. Meeting days may vary based on availability, but we begin with lunch together at a local restaurant at noon, then gather at the church until 3:00 p.m. to share fellowship and work on our projects.
Come be part of this meaningful ministry—where hands, hearts, and faith come together to serve our neighbors and strengthen our community.
